Science genuinely scares me. I always dreaded science class in school. Now I have a little boy who loves learning about typical boy stuff & everything science! I’m hoping to find a science program that be easy enough for me to teach him & excite him at the same time.

I’m always concerned with being well rounded in any subject. Hit all the major points but not feel I’m missing something else.
Shauna, I think we all worry about the “gaps”. One wise teacher once told me that there will always be gaps. You just do your best & also teach them how to learn so that they can fill in those gaps on their own. Best of luck on the giveaway!
My biggest fear about teaching my 2 year old son science (or really any subject for that matter) is that I won’t find the way to teach him that he will really “get” it. He loves science and I want to be able to teach it in a way that makes him love it even more.

My daughter is almost 4, so we are just getting started. It’s hard to know what curriculum to choose, or whether to use anything at all at this point.
Beth, welcome to the woderful world of homeschooling! I think at that age it is best to follow their cues. In other words if your daughter shows signs of frustration you may want to back off a bit; if she enjoys a little bit of school, you can try to add a bit more. Best of luck on the giveaway!

My children are so interested in science and I really have a tenancy to shy away from experiments.

Science is hard for me so I get concerned that I’m not teaching enough of it or that I’m not helping my boys learn enough.

I have a 1 1/2 year old and would love to win this to teach him in the future! We love your elementary sciences that we use for our daughter and hope that you continue to product science curriculum and helps! 🙂 The hard part for me is fitting science in to our day, seems the basics take up so much time this year in 4th grade, math especially. However, my daughter LOVES ES Chemistry and usually chooses to do that over history when we have the choice.

My four year old loves science. He frequently comes up with his own (rather messy) science experiments. I think he would really enjoy these materials and I would love to have more ideas to help my budding little scientist grow. 🙂

Science is what gets me up in the morning! It’s my passion and the great love of my older son. My greatest fear is how I’m going to balance the needs and abilities of my two boys next year. Specifically, I need help working with my preschooler (almost 4), who is his own, unique personality and is certainly not prepared to join in his older brother’s science work! I want to feed his passion without drowning it 😉

SO EXCITED! My 2 1/2 year old daughter is in this exploring/experimenting stage and I love it. Got the chance to do a “volcano” in the snow with the little one this winter (baking soda/vinegar/food coloring) and it got me excited to setup a classroom for this summer. This is great. I’ve just started showing my 2 yr old how you can mix primary colors to make secondary colors. She just likes the mixing!

Our science book this past year was a flop. I’m looking forward to a fresh start with a different book next year, but in the meantime, we’re using up all the science kits I seem to have collected over the years.
